Cyell, once you know...
Just as the harsh chemicals in detergent can harm your skin, they can also harm your swimwear. The substances in some detergent products can be caustic to the material, ultimately affecting the shape, color and elasticity of your swimwear. We recommend using a mild detergent or a special swimwear detergent to avoid damage.
Rinse your swimwear in cold water after swimming to get chlorine out. It's best to do this right after you take it off, even if you don't have time to wash it extensively with soap. By rinsing out salt- and/or chlorine-based chemicals, you preserve the longevity, color and elasticity of your swimwear.
The rough inside of the washing machine drum and the intensity of the wash cycle can make premature fetch and holes in your swimwear. The heat of the dryer can also cause loss of color and shape. For best results and longer life, we recommend hand washing and air drying on a flat surface to prevent stretching and discoloration. After washing, gently squeeze out the water. Do not be too rough and do not wring it out. It is tempting to do so, but the wringing motion can damage the material.
It is natural to sit on the pool edge, in the sand or on the stones. This can cause damage to your swimwear! To reduce the chance of pilling - the small, fluffy balls that appear on the garment - we recommend always sitting on a towel if the surface is rough. Go for a large, soft, matching towel for extra comfort!
